Polished Round Grinding Cemented Tungsten Carbide Ball
Tungsten Carbide Balls are also called tungsten balls, pure tungsten balls, pure tungsten carbide balls and tungsten alloy balls.
The chemical formula of tungsten carbide balls is WC. It is a black hexagonal crystal with metallic luster. Its hardness is similar to that of diamond and it is a good conductor of electricity and heat. It has the characteristics of high melting point (2870℃), high boiling point (6000℃) and high relative density (15.63, 18℃). Tungsten carbide is insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, but easily soluble in a mixed acid of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Pure tungsten carbide is brittle, and adding a small amount of metals such as titanium and cobalt can reduce its brittleness.
Compared with steel balls, tungsten carbide balls have the following advantages:
1.Hardness and wear resistance:Tungsten carbide balls are much harder than steel balls and have excellent wear resistance. They can maintain good shape and dimensional accuracy during long-term use, reducing performance degradation and replacement frequency caused by wear.
2.Corrosion resistance:Tungsten carbide balls have better corrosion resistance to many chemicals and can remain stable in harsh chemical environments.
3.High temperature performance:Can work normally at higher temperatures and are not easy to soften or deform.
4.Service life:Due to its excellent performance, the service life of tungsten carbide balls is usually much longer than that of steel balls.
5.Density:Tungsten carbide balls have a larger density and have advantages in certain applications that require high density.
Production process of tungsten carbide balls:
1.Powder metallurgy
2.Pressing
3.Sintering
4.Subsequent processing: such as fine grinding, polishing, etc., to improve its surface quality and precision.
Tungsten carbide balls have the characteristics of high hardness, high strength, good wear resistance, etc., and their application fields are wide:
1. Mechanical industry: used as balls in various ball screws, ball bearings, and spheres in various valves and pumps to improve the wear resistance and service life of parts; manufacture metal drawing dies for drawing metal wires.
2. Oil and gas industry: used for parts of drilling tools, such as drill bit balls, etc., which can withstand high temperature, high pressure and wear underground.
3. Aerospace field: as wear-resistant parts in aircraft engines and spacecraft components.
4. Automobile industry: used for balls and wear-resistant parts in key components such as automobile engines and transmissions.
5. Electronic industry: as key wear-resistant and load-bearing parts in electronic manufacturing equipment.
6. Military industry: used to manufacture parts in weapon systems, such as armor-piercing cores, etc.
7. Medical equipment: such as balls and wear-resistant parts in some medical devices.
8. Sports goods: such as the hitting surface of golf clubs, etc.
9. Scientific research experiments: Used as wear-resistant and high-strength experimental components in some physical experiments and material research.
